Utter confusion...
Review Date: 2/23/2007 Reviewer: Anonymous
Overall the place isn't bad and has a lot of potential. In my humble opinion the rent is a bit too high for the area, but that should soon change. The amenities are nice, although often mis kept (ie no toilet paper in the gym bathrooms, dirty exercise machines, over chlorinated hot tub while the pool is under chlorinated). The good part about the amenities is that most of them are available 24 hours depending on the amount of trouble that the development is having. The gates are antiquated and touchy, broken or malfunctioning most of the time. The buildings themselves look nice, but are in need of repair and upgrade (ie new windows, new staircases, new siding, new paint, etc.) As for the apartments, many still have the original fixtures, counters and appliances. Ours had recently been given new flooring, however the workmanship was bad to the point where certain sections of carpet are missing the underlying padding, one closet still has the old carpeting, and the replacement lanolium is beginning to buckle just one year after it was installed. They office staff seems to go through a high rotation wherein they change managers and leasing agents almost on a bi-monthly basis. Once you get used to dealing with a certain person over there, before you know it **poof** they've either been transferred or fired. As for the maintenance staff, I can say they certainly have a creative way of dealing with problems. Most of the time they are able to fix things, however often times their fix won't last for long. Just to forewarn though, you do not want to piss them off because they will retaliate against you in one form or another. Honestly if they would just hire a cleaning lady for the gym / clubhouse, find a pool company that knows what they're doing, possibly treat their employees a bit better so that they wouldn't keep leaving or requesting transfers, and just up the property's budget a bit so that maintenance would have a higher grade of resources available to fix things then maybe this place would turn out okay. |
